[BlenderBIM] one Blender session one ifc file paradigmen

I am just curious, is there some technical background to this this way, instead of allowing to open multiple ifc file in an blender session?

For me it makes sense, because at the moment there is no way to make connections between ifc entities in different ifc files, so it is better to open only one ifc file. Is there also other reasons?

As a workaround there is the IfcPatch recipe MergeProjects, to merge multiple ifc file to one ifc file and then it is possible to open it in Blender.
