IFC and data sharing between PIM and AIM

  1. How would you specify which information from a Project Information Model (PIM) to share to (or keep in) an Asset Information Model (AIM) for facility management?
  2. How would you specify which information from an AIM to share to (or keep in) a PIM for a renovation project?
  3. How would you specify using IFC that this is an AIM, for example that this is an "as built" asset in an AIM or that this IfcProject is an AIM? Is it correct to use IfcProject for asset management? Management is not a project.
  4. Would you consider to combine asset management information and project information in the same model using IFC?
  5. How would you keep track of planned changes (including various alternative changes) as well as past history of changes of an asset in an AIM?
  6. Did anyone look into the combination of PLCS and IFC for asset management? Did you find it useful?
