Tips for migrating from a malformed IFC
Hi there.
My modeler has generated an IFC4 that is super tricky: it creates an IfcBuilding with an IfcBuildingElementProxy for each element.
The project involves the improvement of a riverbank, with work on the embankment and channels for the water to flow through.
The first step is to migrate to IFC4.3 to use IfcMarineFacility (which is more appropriate) instead of IfcBuilding:
After that, what is the best practice to recreate the correct spatial decomposition of elements?
Thanks!

Hello everyone! This is what I have so far (see attachment).

I can't change two items (Batter and None), clicking on V doesn't work :S

Now I think I have to migrate Proxy elements to something more river friendly.
Any tips?
I have a question, please.

When in edit mode, I get this message
When you press on it, it points to "Troubleshooting" page, but there is no information about this message.
I only need to make simple changes, is that possible?
I've also unlocked items
Thanks!
Dennis
@mastrolube
I think it's an alert that you are changing the geometry and need to reset the changes with Alt+A before closing, otherwise the edit will not be effective
Oh wow, it's on the top right!
You have to use this command to change the IFC geometry, I used the one in the left corner (blender mode).
If you're up for some scripting, this sounds like a model that you could run a simple script to fix it. Would you be interested?
Hello Moult!
Yes, that would be great :)
Unfortunately my modeller generates this crap data and I have 10 models to process
