Added grid lines and duplicated them with shift+D as many as needed. Also entered to editing mode on them and stretched vertical grids.
Now the are visible in 3D view, but not in plan drawing. There they differ in count and length. What went wrong?
I think the copied ones need to be added to the groups that get created for the drawings. Pick one of the original grid items, and check what group it is in. Then add the newly created ones to that group. Should be no need to recreate the drawing.
Hmmm. What version of Bonsai are you using @Samppa ? I've just tested todays alpha, and Shift-D'ing the grid items works perfectly. No messing with groups. @JanF Are you editing the original grid item, or the ones created in the drawing annotation when the drawing is active? When I edit the original grid item the annotation one updates automatically for me.
@sjb007 I am using bonsai v0.8.1 and blender 4.3.2.
Was able to get Grids visible and working in drawings. This is how it seems to work out for me at least:
Every duplicated grid line Attributes has to be edited and renamed in Object Metadata. Only then they show up as annotations in drawing view.
Also if you stretch grid lines in Edit Mode you have to Edit Attributes, otherwise they wont update as Annotations in Drawing View.
After renaming any grid lines the previously named versions of annotations need to be manually removed from IfcAnnotations. These duplicate annotations is what actually messed me up.

I'm editing the original grid. I've also tested with bonsai_py311-0.8.2-alpha250309-windows-x64 and still have the same issue. The description by @Samppa applies to me as well.

The only way I know of is to delete and recreate the view.
