All of them are 3D modelers. Only they don't use traditional UI. We have two groups:
Scripting language input (like OpenSCAD)
Node input (like Sverchok)
But maybe not all of them have direct application on AEC like Sverchok and Dynamo. Maybe a new category for mechanical Apps?

It'd be awesome to add this to the Wiki directory, but I'm not quite sure which category they'd be under.
Looks like a frontend for many cad backends, so somewhere into 3d modelling applications ?

Are they geometry kernels? Or am I mixing terms.
OpenSCAD

OpenScad (solid) and OpenCascade (brep) are gemetry kernels.
Both provide "easy" programmatic way to build geometry.
