+1 OBS Studio is a great FOSS. It has been my favorite for several years now.
As Blender the project received contributions from big companies last years.
Why do you use aac which is patented instead of opus which is more efficient and an open standard ?
If you encode video with open standard VP9 (or eventually VP8) you can also use the open container webm which is readable on any internet browser. Else you can still use mkv container (also open of course).
@Cyril because I copy pasted that command from a Stackoverflow post perhaps 10 years ago, aliased it, and never changed it :) I'm also not very versed in the ffmpeg manpage ... I'll need to clean that up.

I find that sharex seems to stop suddenly sometimes for no apparent reason. Have you seen that happen? Does it time out or the file get too big?
@duncan when doing a video screen cast? If so, you can set the resolution size, so the file doesn't get so big.

I haven't noticed any sudden stops.
