Operation and maintenance on campus/site with ifc
Hi,
In my company I have to manage the MEP operation and maintenance of nearly 100 building on the same site.
We are using Revit, ArcGis and InforEAM but this two last software are managed by others departments and there is no initiative to have some 3D viewer of our installations.
By exporting our Revit file in ifc we are free to build a 3D viewer with all the tools we want, for free and with more longtherm data access.
I have 2 questions about this:
1/ Anyone knows or have some experience about a similar project ?
2/ Do you know the ifc entity who identify one equipment with a unique code ? For example all our plumbing, ventilation and electricity equipment have some unique code that allow us to identify them in the O&M process.

Dutch government is making attempts at standardizing IFC for all the various building properties they own:

I know it has been implemented for "Binnenhof" in the Hague, could only find a Dutch source
