Filtering "New" Building Components in IDS for Refurbishment Projects
Hi everyone,
For a refurbishment project, we agreed with the client to provide the required information only for building components that are part of the planning scope—excluding existing elements. Therefore, the IDS should apply only to building components with the status "New" (in a project specific Pset).
Since we can't clearly separate the elements into different models (e.g., an existing wall with a new provision for a void), we need to create a global filter across all specifications in the IDS.
Is this allowed by the IDS format? If so, is it possible to append this requirement to an existing .ids file using OpenShell?
