Showcase of an Architectural Floor Plan Drawing - FreeCAD Draft

Hi,

this is a showcase of a floor plan in a design development phase created purely with FreeCAD Draft. There are no BIM objects, this was created only with oldschool 2D drafting methods. There is no 3D or data in the model (except for room areas measured with polygons). The produced project sheet contains architectural floor plan of a residential building with dimensions, room tags, room schedule, legend and hatches.

There are Layers used in the project, compounds, multiple linestyles. Some trickery is done to achieve multiple text sizes on the TechDraw page. The project shows that FreeCAD can be used as a drafting software in the AEC field. It is not as powerful as your typical full fledged drafting package such as AutoCAD, but it can get the job done.
