Elevation Line
Hi everyone. I was wondering if there's a way to create walls in multi-level buildings and manage, in the elevation drawing, the display of lines between walls at different levels. For clarity, I've attached images.

I can't track it down right now, but I know @theoryshaw raised this issue of merging adjacent material objects when drawing. As far as I'm aware it is not currently possible.
Hah, and then I immediately find it: https://github.com/IfcOpenShell/IfcOpenShell/issues/3742
Would be nice. :)
Hmmh, do separation lines happen in Elevations too ?
(EDIT : saw the PR, so yes)
Or "elevation" parts in the background of a Section, behind the Section Plane ? That could be problematic.
I mean for touching separate parts, where surfaces are 100 % planar and use the same Material or Style.
Thanks for the replies. Do you know of any work arounds and if this issue is in development?
No development I'm aware of, but core devs are sometimes working on stuff in their local repos.
The only workarounds are
a) ignore it until you want your final drawings, then edit the drawings in Inkscape at the end to remove unwanted lines, or
b) If you have no patterns or underlay, you can create virtual "white-out" in your sheet layouts to mask out lines you don't want in the embedded drawings.
This is one hacky way, but would only really work on interior elevations: https://community.osarch.org/discussion/comment/22587/#Comment_22587
...
I forget there's a funding campaign for this functionality, if you'd like to support it.
OSArch matches all funds.
