Convert IFC to a Mesh in Blender

I opened an IFC file of a building in Blender. Now I want to deform the facades. To do that, I would need to convert the IFC file to a Mesh. I selected the building, converted the object to a Mesh, and then Shift + A to place a Lattice around the building as a cage. NextI I added a Deform Lattice Modifier. However, when I try to link the Lattice to the selected building, I get a "Failed to set Value" error message. So I can't deform the facades. What's the best practice for deforming the facades from a IFC file in Blender using Bonsai, what will work?

    Try to add a deform-lattice-modifier to the fascade, as object in this modifier define yout lattice... That should work.
