Import a .brep file into an IFC as a representation

Hello,
I was reading this interesting discussion and related doc: https://community.osarch.org/discussion/comment/26380#Comment_26380
Is there a way to import a .brep file (which I would have exported from FreeCAD) directly into the IFC in Bonsai as a representation of an item?
In FreeCAD itself, if I assign a geometry modeled in Part WB to the IFC, it converts it as a tessellation.
