FreeCAD used for bridge design

This is a really interesting use case of FreeCAD:

  • A macro that creates a parametric bridge
  • Export the bridge model from FreeCAD as IFC file. FreeCAD offers basic georeferencing.
  • Import to Trimble Connect CDE for coordination
