Collaborations with other BIM communities

edited March 2021 in General

I'm thinking about good old days when there were website "rings" - remember them? A series of websites on similar topics would link to each other creating a network of sites.

Our reliance on search engines has meant his is less important - but then our reliance on websites is itself a problem - we don't know the algorithms that direct our attention.

Anyway, I'm getting off topic...

I'd like to hear peoples thoughts about ways to connect and collaborate with other communities. Examples could be BIM Hive & YourDesk University and many others.

In some ways we are a niche within a niche and we need to build on the work of others to get our message out there. We need to begin being better at highlighting the mature projects that show the future of what we're aiming for and put those projects in front of the right audience.

I head a wonderful podcast with Timon Hazell of YourDesk University and think working together with projects like that would be a great opportunity https://www.trxl.co/podcast/038
