QGIS 3D export part of Google Summer of Code project
It looks like Belgacem Nedjima https://github.com/NEDJIMAbelgacem will be working on the QGIS 3D engine including export. Might result in easier methods to get data back and forth from Blender/FreeCAD and QGIS.

Yes it seems like he is moving right along. Having inplemented some textures https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pull/36981 and directional lignts. https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pull/37016
I am interested in the export of 3D files that hopefully he will get to.
There is an amazing QGIS plugin: QGIS2threejs https://qgis2threejs.readthedocs.io/en/docs/ that will export a glTF but it doesn't like to maintain a scale.
