Installing BlenderBIM inside a Conda Environment

Hi,
we are wondering if it is possible to install bpy + blenderBIM inside a virtual environment (e.g. Conda). Has anyone experience with that? We already tried unzipping the blenderBIM installation file and wrote our own setup.py but we are not sure if this is the way to go + it doesn't install all the dependencies when we are doing it this way.

We already installed blenderBIM inside blender like described on the website (zip-file, install plugin inside blender) and are able to use it.
