IfcObjectPlacement training materials
As I attempt to learn native IFC, I am struggling with object placement, relative placement, and the coordinate system hierarchy. Can someone direct me to some training materials on these topics? I understand the big picture concepts, but struggle placing objects in models. I’m a visual learner so materials with lots of graphics are appreciated.

An oldie, but goodie: https://standards.buildingsmart.org/documents/Implementation/IFC2x_Model_Implementation_Guide_V2-0b.pdf
Fantastic- thank you
@theoryshaw wow this is very useful, thanks!
That's an incredible document and the first time I've seen it! It really shows the level of consideration and work that goes into defining standardized object definitions for the industry.
@Moult indeed... i tried to search it in the buildingsmart website but without success...it should be published there i guess...

That document is great. Some of you seem to have a good connection with bSI - I would encourage you to ask bSI post this document where new users can find it and to see if there is a way to update it for 4x3 with alignments and linear placement. While I'm probably not the right person to lead such an effort since I'm quite novice, I volunteer to assist in an updating effort as I represent the target audience.
@Rick_Brice it's on the first link on https://technical.buildingsmart.org/resources/ifcimplementationguidance/
I think 4X3 alignments and linear placements are still being tweaked, after that I really hope they update this guide.
