Something like face based families in Bonsai?
In Revit I often use things like nested face based families that cut into a layered wall with a void and replace the cut out portion with a new material with extrusion, and nested because there is a plate family centered on the new extrusion. Think Concrete/Foam/Concrete where the face based family is reducing foam and deepening the concrete in certain parts of the wall.
Is there a way to do something similar in Bonsai?
I was looking at the feature for linked aggregates to act like a grouped/nested object. But would this be able to cut into various walls where ever they're placed? And could I move a collection of differently placed aggregates up and down relative to some level?

Hi @EngyArchy,
For a linked aggregate to cut into a wall you would have to manually add an opening for each occurrence of the aggregate, I don't know it there is an automated way to do that right now.
I don't know if I fully understand what you mean, but the location of the objects are not automatically tied to the floor levels, AFAIK.
At the moment, we hardcode the ability to have a "voiding" family to doors and windows. This is an arbitrary limitation and can be removed.
