@steverugi I guess that just reassigns the element to the container. There was a button to copy elements to other containers under "Object Information". I guess it's moved somewhere else but I can't find it.
yes @atomkarinca you are right, to copy is a bit tricky for me at the moment
as far as I know the workaround is to turn on the 'selectable' arrow in the outliner
and use the little square in the Spatial Decomposition to select the floor
now when you Shift + select the element to copy you have access to 'Copy Object to selected'
..or a 'quick and dirty' way is to just Shift+D the elements in their original container and while still selected follow the previous procedure but you need to move them up to the desired elevation
hopefully there is a better one available I haven't found yet
@steverugi thanks, that did it for me. But first selecting the container and then selecting elements means that I have to Ctrl select the elements now. Because the elements I want to copy are in a different container than the one I want to copy to. I think it would be amazing to have a container list to select here.

I agree, also, not being able to select items first and container second does not allow the use of a 'Search' to select elements to be copied to a different container, hopefully there is some other way available ( or in the devs pipeline) to sort that out soon
Comments
see this if helpful:
1. select the elements to move
2. select the container to move to
3. click on the icon with the folder/arrow to run it
