Today, I updated Bonsai with the "Update" button in the Blender Add-ons. After that, I clicked on the "Restart Blender" pop-up and the Blender closed but could not restart. I manually started Blender but I could see Bonsai checked in the "Extensions" and "Add-ons" in the Blender preferences but the "BIM" workspace didn't appear and nothing Bonsai in Blender.
I had to uninstall and re-install Bonsai for it to work again. I bring this up for the developers' attention.
Hello ! Please head over to https://github.com/IfcOpenShell/IfcOpenShell/issues in order to post issues and bugs regarding Bonsai or IfcOpenShell, it's easier for devs to track and fix and for users to search for once solved. Cheers

Removing the Home Builder 4 addon does allow Bonsai to install...but I would like to keep Home Builder ideally...
I think I hit this issue too. The solution was to uninstall Home Builder, install Bonsai, then reinstall Home Builder.
