Question about the Explore Tool in Bonsai

Hi,
when Explore Tool is active in Bonsai, I am unable to use the standard H, Shift+H, and Alt+H keys for hiding and unhiding selected objects.
The tooltip for this tool talks about "Hide queried linked element".

  • Does this mean the tool only works with linked models? I tested with linked model and got no result.
  • Does "queried" mean selected or is it something else?

Is this a bug or a functionality that I don't understand?
I tested both Bonsai 0.8.5 and 0.8.6alpha with the same result.

  • Linked models can currently only be hidden as a whole, not single objects unfortunately. If you RMB, you can query a single object (to see its properties in the Linked IFCs panel). Linked models are pretty limited (unfortunately on purpose, due to limitations with Blender's object count handling).

I understand that. But is this the reason for hide/unhide not working when the Explore Tool is active?

Thanks for the explanation. This is useful, I did not know about this trick.
