Model a curved wall in BlenderBIM
Hi,
How would you model a curved Wall?
Is there a way to edit the axe as a curve ? (to keep the layerset)
Or would you draw a footprint to be extruded vertically?
Or would you model as a tessellation ?

I don't think it's currently possible.
could do this way: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/xvgj8qoi8cnpclaqdsjhu/2023-10-10_12-17-15_KeyShowView_Carnac.mp4?rlkey=r8kwczkg6ub4mt51t2gm65yy0&dl=0
It's not currently possible to edit layersets with curved axes.
@theoryshaw 's method works to model true curves but alas it requires a bit of understanding of how to draw profiles and is sloooooow :)
Ok thanks for the answers!
Is there no ExtrudeProfileAlongPath functionality in IFC?
https://ifc43-docs.standards.buildingsmart.org/IFC/RELEASE/IFC4x3/HTML/lexical/IfcExtrudedAreaSolid.htm#:~:text=The IfcExtrudedAreaSolid is defined by,given by the Depth attribute.
Something like this can't be used to make a curved IfcWall?
Disregard this, didnt read the OP, he asked about layersets.
I believe so, go here, and search for the word
swept
in the page. The video i posted above, uses IfcExtrudedAreaSolid.
