With the aggregate selected, you can select all children. In the geometry panel under presentation layers, you can also select all elements belonging to a filter. So the functionality is there... just not in the "search" panel.
Not yet, I have a mental list of a variety of facets I want to add, including "group" (which includes system), "layer", and "parent" (includes aggregate, nest, and contained in).

Nope. Great idea! Would you like to try and implement this? It's not too tricky.
Can you search/filter by IfcElementAssembly? That is, is it possible to select all the objects inside a IfcElementAssembly aggregate?

Is there a facet selector yet for aggregates, so you could put this in the 'exclude' EPset_Status attribute, for example?
