model technical building equipment in bonsai / bleinderbim

Hi,
I try to find out how to model technical building equipment (German TGA) in bonsai (former blenderBim), like heat pumps.
My general question: Is there a good workflow to model technical building equipment, like heat pumps? And is this workflow described somewhere? I could not found it until now.

I try to figure a workflow by myself, but here a more detailed question occurs:
Is it possible to define ports/connection point, eg. at the input of the heat pump?

Thx
Falk

once you have your element (a cube or more detailed mesh or extruded profile) classified in IFC

you can add ports to it by positioning your 3D cursor at the point of insertion with the element selected
go to Services and Systems > Services > Ports and click on the + icon to add a port to your element

    like (very simple example)

  • @fcudok Hi
As @steverugi showed above things that can be modelled in Blender (without using Bonsai tools) can be IFC classified.
I like the fact that low poly models with accurate elements like fixing points and connection can become IFC objects. Only model what is necessary and sufficient :)

  • @steverugi thx, It works for me.
@Nigel thx, for the further information.
