Did the default way of assigning patterns in the svg change recently? It used to be the blender material name (https://wiki.osarch.org/index.php?title=BlenderBIM_Add-on/BlenderBIM_Add-on_exporting_2D_documentation), but it doesn't export correctly (material-null for walls, nothing at all for columns).
It might be from the relatively recent new drawing system... https://github.com/IfcOpenShell/IfcOpenShell/issues/2978#issuecomment-1510374693
I am experiencing a range of similar issues with assigning materials, I made an issue on the Github here: https://github.com/IfcOpenShell/IfcOpenShell/issues/3169
Currently it is blender material name if your object's material is IfcMaterial. If it's not IfcMaterial (for example if it's IfcMaterialLayerSet) then "brick" should be IfcMaterialLayerSet's name.
