I'm trying to understand IfcGroup and its various use cases. I have seen that IfcGroup is used in copying a set of entities. What are the other use cases where I can use ifcGroup?
I used IfcGroup when developing Linked Aggregate.
As I understand, it's just a way to group elements in arbitrary concepts, that does not belong to the spatial tree. In my case, I used to create a link between aggregates. All the aggregates that belong to the same group should be equal, so the IfcGroup is a way to select them all and update them accordingly.
In BlenderBIM, IfcGroup is also used to create a connection between annotation elements and drawings.
It would be nice to realize 'Linked Groups'. That way, objects within, can be assigned to different spatial containers. Unlike 'Linked Aggregates' where all the objects have to be 'within' one spatial container.

I was looking in the wrong tab - found it in "Project Overview"
