iNEST fund _ Project CAM.bio
Hello, I'm happy to share a good news!
BlenderBim Add-on and IfcOpenShell will be part of a research program funded by italian consortium iNEST - Interconnected Nord-Est Innovation Ecosystem featuring the participation of italian companies Cadline Software Srl, 888 Software Products Srl, 3 Face Engineering Srl, Donadello & Partners Stp Srl. The project will implement open solutions to produce data and monitor the fulfillment of environmental and sustainability requirements of buildings.
iNEST is a networks of Universities, Public Research Institutions, Territorial Institutions and Companies, including among them IUAV University of Venice and the University of Padua.
I'd really want to thank all the people that supported me to draft the proposal, expecially @aothms, @Moult , eng. Carlo Zanchetta from Parallab srl, @Massimo, but also @Jesusbill, @Cyril and @SigmaDimensions.
I'd be happy to write a short article for osarch.org news section if that sounds good to you, and i'll keep posting about the development of the project.
PS Cambio is a word pun around italian CAM (acronym for Minimum Environmental Criteria) and CAMBIO (change).
Here you can find a draft post for the announcement. Feel free to use this text and the attached images:

If any non-native english speakers wonder why english is so weird, it's because; firstly the Romans colonised us and made us speak Latin. Then the Anglo-Saxons colonised us and made us speak German. Then the Danes colonised half of us, and made us speak Danish. Then the French colonised us and made us speak French. Then we had the scientific and industrial revolutions, didn't have enough words, so borrowed them from ancient Greek. And now the Americans are reverse-colonising us and making us spell colour as color. I need some tea.
News submitted to the main osarch page.
Here is also the post on LinkedIn , thanks @Moult !
Today i was at IUAV for the first meeting with the companies involved in the project. Next week we will receive more informations about the formal steps but everything seems to be slowly starting to move!
