BonsaiBIM Drawings Without Using IFC Objects?
Would it be possible to create drawings using the wonderful BonsaiBIM addon, only the objects are standard Blender objects? This way, those of us not needing to export to IFC, could use the powerful Geometry Nodes, etc. alongside BonsaiBIM section views....perhaps there is an IFC classification check in BonsaiBIM that could be bypassed?

You can classify Blender objects as Ifc classes and they will work in drawings
OK....but if I open the file as an IFC will Geo Nodes modifiers be missing (or maybe there's a way of using BonsaiBIM albeit using the Blender format)?
Unfortunately, the object's geometry will need to be 'baked', and you lose your modifiers.
The combination of these two addons should give you what you are looking for.

I think the workflow you are looking for is SVerchok + Ifcnodes + BlenderBim (now 'Bonsai')
This is still experimental and not working great as far as I know, but you can definitely try them out to create workflows
Those are both good add-ons that I have tinkered with. My problem is combining the Cameras into one drawing sheet. I believe that the Dimensions and Annotations can be added in a separate Scene from the model - and then the rendering of the drawing sheet with combined Camera Views can be done in a special Render Scene. The VSE can be used to create variations such as Colour etc (
)...
Blender's compositor can be used with a Scale node to size the rendered Camera Views.
I only play in Blender occasionally during my lunch break. Until I can get drawings out I can't 'dive into' the program. I've yet to see a good tutorial about how to get a Native drawing Sheet inside of Blender including scaled views.
A different approach to the Compositor is to use Portals (based on planes) to show different views. These can be laid flat next to one another and Scales can be used. I believe that a Drawing Border could be placed around the Portals.
I haven't tried this, but if it keeps the Geo Nodes modifiers intact then it has great potential. I like the progress that BonsaiBIM has been making and want to take advantage of their drawing processes (decorations etc.).
Maybe PRJ is more suitable for this?

I found PRJ great for exporting Views to DWG (using the ODA Converter). It was also very good for allowing Custom Property Values to go into Inkscape when exported as SVGs (For Tagging Descriptions etc in Inkscape). But it didn't hatch as well as TechSec.
As a further note, I found the Geo Nodes way of dimensioning used in the 3D Eden addon to be very good - it allows leaders with text that the 'Dimensions & Lines' addon currently doesn't.
But I would still love BonsaiBIM to have a Tickbox for allowing Elements without IFC-Classifications to be included in Drawing Views - and some way of retaining the Geo Nodes workflow in the IFC file (or a stable way of working with the Blend file)....and for BonsaiBIM to allow Freestyle Lines in a similar way to how PRJ works...
The story pencil addon included with blender would be the best way to create sheetsets with titleblock and border.
That is what I propose here. https://community.osarch.org/discussion/2450/blenderbim-feature-proposal#latest
