Rotate in Blender
As a result of this topic https://community.osarch.org/discussion/3294/move-the-model-to-world-origin-and-rotate-it-to-north I still need to rotate the model. Since I have questions really specific to rotation I made a new topic. Here we are ...
By setting the Pivot Point to "3D Cursor" the rotation point can be set to the 3D Cursor. That's cool and works great. The question is how do I set the 3D Cursor to a grid intersection point?
The idea I had:
I found how to set the 3D Cursor to a grid end point. But I was not able to cut a copy of the grid axis to the crossing axis.

found this after hours myself ...

placing a plane on the x-axis to have a vertex and use Snap Base Functionality by the use of key B did the trick https://blender.stackexchange.com/a/314462
puh ... half a working day just to move and turn a model in blender, but I learnt that much about Blender. It really is totally different from any other geometry modyfing tools I know.
There's 'R' and then 'B', that's quite helpful as well.
Is toward the end of the following video from this tutorial series.
works :-) great cool short video about some cool snap options :-)
I use CADTransforms. It works with blender BIM too: https://blender-archipack.gumroad.com/l/emiwtw
For my use works perfect. Nevertheless, I believe some shortcut assignments my cause some oddities.
I also use it. Very nice tool.
BTW the SetFalseOrigin recipe also can be used to rotate the entire model. I would recommend that over any manual rotation.
