BlenderBIM: feature request locking IfcGrid on import
I haven't seen too many IFC models with an actual IFC grid so far.
But BlenderBIM has support for IfcGrid and I use it quite a lot.
It speeds up my modelling and it's more accurate.
However I lock the grid in each XYZ direction.
Do you think it's a good idea to lock the IfcGrid on import in BlenderBIM? To make modelling more fool proof .
Slightly related: How could you select multiple objects at once in Blender and then lock the object for each one of them? I used to know the keyboard shortcut, but googling it I cant' find it anymore... was something like alt+shift+something. worked great. But I forgot.

That's a great idea! Implemented: https://github.com/IfcOpenShell/IfcOpenShell/commit/de1dae8b6e8100068e09082215a987989a078ec5
After setting the lock, you can right click and "Copy All to Selected" to propagate your properties. This works for most properties, not just locking.
I don't think you can get that sort of rapid and positive response with proprietary software, great to watch
I just remembered, if you multi select and press alt before entering a value, it applies to all the selected items. Extemely useful I would say.
Slightly related,
I can't see the IfcGrid anymore in the 3D view of BIMvision, while the grid shows up in the outliner and 2D views.
Did BIMVision remove this functionality? Which free IFC viewers are able to show an IfcGrid in the 3D view?
