  • Hi Everyone
I run my own Architectural studio, qualified, registered Technologist in South Africa.
It has taken me a fair amount of time to join in on the OS world, but here I am.
Looking to learn a lot an I am sure I will, my mind is blown already.
Hopefully we can make other professionals see the awesome world of OS and convert them.
    Don't stop going!!
    Cheers
    Hein

Hi everyone! I'm Sameera from Saudi Arabia. After a career break, I came back to work through the ISO 19650 rabbit hole — which probably says something about me.
My background is IT, so I approached BIM from the data and information side rather than design. Less interested in what buildings look like, more obsessed with how their information is structured, named, and governed.
The naming convention problem kept bothering me enough that I built something — isocheck.app — a browser-based tool that validates ISO 19650 filenames before they get rejected on upload. Files stay local, nothing leaves your browser.
Still learning a lot about open BIM and IFC — this community looks like exactly the right place for that. Happy to be here.

  • Hi everyone! I'm Franky Yang from Taiwan.
I'm a structural engineer and developer. Over the past year, I've been building a tool in my spare time that compares two IFC models based purely on geometry rather than GUIDs.
The idea came from problems I kept running into at work. I often need to compare structural analysis models with Revit models, and the architects I work with have also told me how much time they spend comparing their Archicad models with our Revit models. That inspired me to build a tool that could make this process easier.
I recently discovered the OSArch community and was excited to find many valuable discussions and learning resources here. I'm looking forward to learning from everyone, and if anyone is interested, I'd really appreciate any technical feedback or suggestions on the tool I'm developing: https://structmatch.com/en
    Nice to meet you all!
